As the Taraba State Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning continues to unfold its projects, programs, and events, the ministry yesterday, the 11th of October 2024, witnessed a transition of power between the outgoing permanent secretary, Alh. Umar B. Bello (FCNA), and the incoming permanent secretary, Mr. Saigudu I. Danjuma who was the Director of Budget in the same ministry.
It was indeed a remarkable event that took place in the office of the permanent secretary, which was attended by both the management and the general staff of the ministry.
The outgoing permanent secretary in his farewell message, appreciated the entire staff of the ministry for their unreserved support and cooperation to him throughout his year of leadership. He said his recorded success comes as a result of collective team work. In his speech, he Expressed the confidence and satisfaction he has in his successor stating that Mr Saigudu’s promotion and appointment was bore out of loyalty, commitment and Dedication to service. Alhaji Umar advised other staff to emulate Mr Saigudu’s life style of Humility and resilience.
The incoming permanent secretary also expressed his heart felt gratitude to his successor and the entire staff of the ministry stressing that, his predecessor has changed the Narratives of the ministry especially in the area of Bilateral Budget discussion program. Promising that he is going to build on the legacy and standard which the former permanent secretary left behind.
The Head of monitoring and evaluation Dr Paul Moses who took the closing remarks applauded both the outgoing and incoming permanent secretaries for their kind gesture stressing that Alhaji Umar B. Bello has left a new paradigm shift in paddling the affairs of the ministry emphasizing that his humanitarian carriage capacity and doggedness ability has left a Land Mark in the ministry. He further appreciated the former permanent secretary for writing his name in Gold and wish him the best in his new place of assignment.
The atmosphere yesterday was a reaction of mixed feelings in the sense that New permanent secretary was welcomed into office and the old one was bided farewell. It was truly a moment of emotions but the structure of civil service has made it so… Good Bye Alhaji Umar B. Bello and welcome Mr saigudu Danjuma.
